We're thrilled to shine a spotlight on the heart and soul of our Melrose team: Sharon Blaskowski. For 27 remarkable years, Sharon has been a cornerstone of Finken, serving our community as a dedicated Customer Service Representative. What drives her every day is simple: the genuine joy of connecting with people, whether she's greeting long-time regular customers or welcoming new faces.
Beyond her decades at work, Sharon finds happiness in the simple pleasures of life, from baking fresh bread and cooking to riding her bike and snowshoeing through winter trails. And if she could disappear on an adventure today? You'd find her in the mountains of Montana or Wyoming.
In Sharon’s words
What do you enjoy most about your job?
“People. I enjoy talking to the people that I meet on a daily basis. Some are new, some are old, but just talking about their families and finding out what they've done for the weekend and just visiting with them.”
What might people not know about your role?
“That we answer a lot of phones. We cover a large area. We have about seven different stores, and with that we get many calls, and we all take turns answering the phones.”
Any hidden talents?
“In my spare time I do like to, well, of course, bake and cook, but I love photography. I do sew, I crochet.”
What would surprise your co-workers?
“That I love to motorcycle. On weekends we'll go up north, Cross Lake area. We do day trips, so those are just perfect.”
Favorite holiday or family tradition?
“My favorite holiday is Christmas, probably because I go way out on Christmas gifts. Just having the family and the grandkids all together, just having that time together with them means the world to me.”
