Our team at Finken had the incredible opportunity to partner with the City of St. Joseph on the new Millstream Park Pavilion project. The city needed expertise in plumbing and HVAC installation, and we were honored to be chosen to help bring this project to life.
Millstream Park is a beloved recreation area located on the northwestern edge of St. Joseph. The park offers a variety of outdoor activities, including disc golf, walking trails along the Watab River, and picnic areas.
The previous park shelter had served the community for many years but was in need of a serious update. Originally built and partially maintained through donations from the St. Joseph Lions Club, the structure no longer met the needs of the growing community.
The new pavilion is more centrally located within the park, providing a modern and accessible space for visitors.
Located just three miles from Finken’s St. Joseph headquarters, Millstream Park Pavilion was an exciting project to take on. Finken partnered with R.A. Morton Construction Managers to ensure the successful completion of the build.
Our team performed a full plumbing and HVAC workup, including:
For this project, we worked with top-quality manufacturers to ensure the best results:
One of the biggest challenges during this project was working within a limited space.
“We had quite large equipment to fit into a smaller footprint than we would’ve preferred,” said a Finken team member. “But we were able to handle it and meet all code requirements.”
Despite these challenges, our team was able to successfully install the system while maintaining quality and efficiency.
The City of St. Joseph was pleased with the final results, highlighting both Finken’s expertise and commitment to excellence.
“Finken really did their homework,” said a city representative. “Yes, they came in as the low bidder, and they’re a local business, which we always prefer, but they are in general great to work with as well, and the system as a whole is working great.”
At Finken, we take pride in helping our community with high-quality plumbing and HVAC services. Whether it’s a commercial project like Millstream Park Pavilion or residential system upgrades, our team is here to help.
