Finance Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: OfficeLOCATION: St. JosephWORKS CLOSELY WITH: HR & A/R DepartmentGENERAL FUNCTION: Responsible for Accounts PayableThe ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills and have an ability to accurately track and record cash flow. This candidate should have experience in maintaining a database of financial information and be able to recognize and solve any problems that may arise.RESPONSIBILITIES: Review and record invoices from vendors to ensure accuracy in billing Reconcile monthly bank accounts Reconcile and monitor expense accounts, address inaccuracies Have knowledge of approved vendors and policies to avoid paying unauthorized invoices and expenses Renew all business licenses Pay property taxes Process damage claims Maintain 1099s and generate report at year end Prepare monthly and year-end financial statements, meet regularily with CPA Submit IRA contributions File and pay, payroll taxes File and pay sales and use tax, complete audit Arrange financing for new equipment Maintain fixed asset and depreciation listing Coordinate year-end inventory for all locations Pay invoices, loan/lease payments, monitor charges for accuracy Monitor credit memo's, follow up with vendor as neededQUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree in accounting or related field 2+ years in A/P, accounting or related field 1 + years in a supervisory position- preferred Strong understanding of general ledger system and accounts payable processing Strong organizational, analytical and recording skills Detail oriented Proficient in Microsoft Office suite Proficient in QuickbooksIn addition to the A/P duties, this position is responsible for overseeing the A/R department and will act as a back-up to human resources in matters of payroll.If you’re interested in being considered, please complete our employment application.
